Lately I’ve been really discouraged and stressed out about
life. I feel that some people may underestimate what I am capable of. People
think that I’ve had it “easy” than others the couple years being in school.
Financially I have been blessed by my parents and God providing my needs while
I’ve been in school. Three out of the four years I was at school I had a job on
campus working as a barista in the café on campus. I didn’t get that money in
my pocket, but it went towards my tuition.
And even when my parents couldnt help me financially, God took care of me by many blessings of mysterious money in
my school mail box and out of nowhere paid tuition from anonymous sources. Even though I haven’t had an actual job while I’ve been in school I’m not naïve
when it comes to know what it is to work hard and bust my butt to get what I
need. I have worked above and beyond to even graduate from college, and get to
where I am today. I come from a long line of stubborn and determined people. My
grandfather was told he had only months to live but he lived two almost three years
past what they told him. I am one of the
most stubborn redheads you’ll meet, just ask those closest to me, they’ll tell
you.
All of this to say, I know life is gonna change when I
graduate. I have to hit the ground running and find a job in January because I
know six month later I’m going to have to start paying the 60,000 dollars in
student loans. I get it people. I know what I’ve got coming in my life. It isn’t
gonna be easy but I know I can do it. Don’t underestimate me. God has amazing
plans for me and I know it. A time of renewal and new beginnings are coming my
way and I can feel it. Don’t take my joy away from me, don’t take my excitement
and don’t tell me I can’t do it, because I’m just gonna prove you all wrong
about me. Watch out world, I’m coming for ya!
